Answers:
I've have been working out on my own for a long time,
but have stopped making any progress in muscle gain. Can you help me?
Yes. Most people who have been working out on their own for a long period
of time eventually hit a plateau and stop making gains in muscle mass.
Often, we find that in most cases this plateau is due to your body needing
a change in exercise. Muscles need to be challenged, by changing your
exercises and the amount of resistance used you will get the results
you are looking for as long as it is combined with healthy eating.
I need to improve my flexibility is this something I can combine
with a Personal Training session?
Yes. As part of our fitness assessment our trainers will evaluate
your flexibility. Any areas that need improvement will then be incorporated
into your tailor made programme. Sports massage is also a great
way to increase muscle flexibility.
I don’t exercise regularly would
I still benefit from a Sports Massage?
Yes, Sports massage can benefit everyone. Just doing day to day
activities our muscles can become inflexible, tight, knotted or
twisted. This can lead to poor posture, injury and in many cases
lack of mobility around joints.
I want to work out on my own eventually, but I need
to learn what to do and how to exercise correctly. Will a trainer
work with me on this basis?
Yes. A trainer will evaluate you, access your needs, develop a
diet plan if needed and work with you over a number of sessions
to teach
you fat loss and toning/building exercises necessary for you to
achieve your goals. You will come away with a program tailored
to your needs and can workout on your own. The number of sessions
needed
for this depends upon your fitness needs, how quickly you master
the movements and your budget. Why not try our Starter Package
to get you going and you can always schedule an additional session
or sessions later for a refresher or to upgrade your program.
What kind of certification and education do your trainers have?
All of our trainers are fully qualified in Personal Training, Nutrition
and Sports Massage through Premier Global training (www.premierglobal.co.uk),
the market leader in health and fitness training. In addition,
all our trainers are the highest membership level of the Register
of Exercise Professionals. The Register of Exercise Professionals
has been set up to help safeguard the health and interests of
people who are using the services of exercise and fitness instructors,
teachers and trainers. The Register uses a process of self-regulation
that recognises industry-based qualifications, practical competency,
and requires fitness professionals to work within a Code of Ethical
Practice. Members of the Register are given a card andregistration
certificate to prove their qualification and membership. www.exerciseregister.org
How do I get started?
You can contact us by calling 0785 4657805, email to enquiries@catchfitness.co.uk
or sending us an enquiry through our website click here (http://www.catchfitness.co.uk/enquiries.htm).
Once you have supplied us with the necessary information about yourself
by email or phone, we will then contact you directly to answer any
further questions you may have. All consultations and sessions are
set up by phone. You then have three options: 1) Set up a Free Consultation
2) Schedule training session/s or 3) Schedule a Nutrition consultation
or Sports Massage.
Once I begin, am I obligated to continue?
No, you are never under any obligation to continue unless you have
actually scheduled a session or sessions. In that case, you must
adhere to the cancellation policy guidelines.
How do I pay?
Payment is always in advance and we accept the following methods;
cash, cheques (made payable to Catch Fitness) or bank transfers
are the accepted methods of payment.
What if I cancel a session?
Once you have scheduled session, you must cancel the session more
than 48 hours in advance or you are responsible to pay the following:
•
Notice of between 24 and 48 hours will incur a 50% payment of the
session
•
Notice of less than 24 hours will incur a full payment of the session
What happens if I am late for a session
The trainer is not obligated to make up time due to a client's lateness.
More than 1/2 hour lateness constitutes a late cancellation and
the trainer is not obligated to conduct the session. In some cases
a trainer will wait and work with you for the remaining time. In
either case you will be charged fully for the session.
How many days a week do I need to workout?
This question can only be answered effectively after you have talked
with a trainer. It depends upon your current conditions, goals,
schedule, budget and your trainers availability. You may "need" to
workout with a trainer four days a week, but only have the time
or budget for two days a week. In these cases, the trainer will
work to teach you a program that you can do on your own for the
days that you cannot work with a trainer.
After I start working with a trainer when will I begin to see results?
This is an impossible question to answer without knowing your present
condition and training history. There are many variables including
your specific starting point, genetics, and metabolism as well
as your consistency, commitment and time you are willing to put
into training. We set up programs that are aimed to work very
quickly, but involve a combination of healthy eating and training.
Generally we like to suggest that, if you are starting from a
very low level of fitness, you take it slower at the beginning
so you can accustom your body gradually to a training program.
We want you to be fit and fabulous for your lifetime.
Where do the training sessions take place?
Personal Training can take place at your home, in your garden local
park or gym.
Nutrition consultations take place in the comfort of your own home.
Sports Massage can be at a local gym or in the comfort of your own
home
Which areas do you travel to?
We cover Wimbledon, Putney, Fulham, Earlsfield, Balham Tooting and
areas of Surrey.
I currently belong to a gym. Can a
trainer come to my gym to train me?
Yes, if your gym allows private personal trainers. You need to ask your gym if
they welcome independent trainers and, if so, how much they charge you for the
trainer to come in. Most gyms will charge you for this.
I want to workout at home, but I don't have any equipment.
Will I be able to accomplish anything?
Yes. Of course, in some circumstances it can be better to have access to quality
cardio and resistance equipment. However, it depends upon your condition and
goals. A lot can be done with no equipment. You can meet with one of our Personal
Trainers who can put together a programme for you based on a safe and effective
workout at home. If you do want to purchase some basic equipment they can advise
on the most appropriate, cost effective equipment for you to achieve your goals.
My energy levels are really low how
can I increase this?
Exercise in itself will increase energy levels but what we eat and drink can
make a huge impact on energy levels. A great way to give your body a lift is
to drink between 1.5 and 2 litres of water per day.
I don't have the discipline to train
on my own, but I want to make my fitness a long term commitment.
How long should I have a trainer for?
Some trainer/client relationships extend over many years. How long an extended
period of time you work with a trainer, depends upon many factors such as your
goals, availability, scheduling and logistics.
